Laxmi Intercontinental P. Ltd., the sole authorized distributor of Hyundai Automobiles in Nepal, has launched the all-new Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the Nepalese market. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is available in two variants - GLS Vision Roof (Rs 80,96,000) and GLS Solar Roof (Rs 81,96,000).The Ioniq 5 which will sit alongside the
new Kona Facelift
and
Ioniq sedan
in the Korean manufacturer's EV portfolio in the Nepalese market will be housed in Laxmi Intercontinental's new state-of-the-art EV showroom located at Thapathali, Kathmandu.The Ioniq 5, the first car in Hyundai’s new Ioniq line-up and the first Hyundai automobile to be constructed on a new specialized E-GMP battery electric vehicle platform, ushers in a new era for EV design as well as EV performance and capability, says Hyundai. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 gets a Rear-Wheel Drive, Solar & Vision Roof, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature, Ambient Mood Lights, Power Tailgate, Rain-Sensing Wipers, Blind-Spot View Monitor(BVM), and Voice Recognition Vehicle Control, among many others.Hyundai Nepal will offer the Ioniq 5 in a 58 kWh battery pack option with a rear-wheel drive. This entry-level motor produces 168bhp (125 kW) and provides the Ioniq 5 an official range of 364 km. You also get a top speed of 185 kmph.Laxmi Intercontinental has pledged to promote EV culture in Nepal beyond simply selling vehicles through the innovative new structure, as well as by expanding the charging stations throughout the country. The company has successfully installed 40 charging stations at different locations across the country.The Ioniq 5 will go head to head against the upcoming Kia EV6 crossover in the Nepalese market.
